- Whisk Like a Pro:
- Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them until smooth.
- Add milk or water if desired, and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Sauté the Fillings:
- Heat the butter or oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced ham, bell peppers, and onions. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the veggies are slightly soft but still vibrant. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Eggs:
- Lower the heat slightly and pour the whisked eggs into the same skillet.
- Swirl the pan to evenly coat the bottom with the egg mixture.
- Add the Fillings:
- When the eggs are mostly set but still a little glossy on top, sprinkle the cooked ham, veggies, and shredded cheese over one half of the omelet.
- The Flip & Fold:
- Carefully fold the omelet in half using a spatula. Cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute to melt the cheese and warm the fillings.
- Serve with Style:
- Slide the omelet onto a plate and garnish with extra cheese, fresh herbs, or hot sauce if desired.
