Sfogliatelle with custard and apples

STEP

  1. Turn the oven on to 200 degrees and bring to temperature;
  2. Take a bowl, pour in the egg yolks, add the sugar and whisk;
  3. Add the starch and mix, then pour in two ladles of boiling milk and mix;
  4. Pour the mixture into the saucepan with the remaining milk and stir so that it does not thicken;
  5. Turn off, pour into a bowl, cover with cling film and leave to cool;
  6. Slice the apples, place in a pan, add 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and cook for 5 minutes until they do not fall apart;
  7. Turn off and let cool.
    On a baking tray, spread out a sheet of puff pastry, prick with the prongs of a fork;
  8. After that, place half of the custard, the apples and the other half of the custard;
  9. Cover with the other sheet of pastry, seal the edges well, prick with the prongs of a fork;
  10. Brush with milk and cook for 20 minutes at 200 degrees, it must brown;
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool, cut into squares;
  12. Sprinkle with icing sugar and…. ENJOY!!
