Pantry Pleaser: Ground Beef and Potato Bake

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook Onion and Garlic
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute until fragrant.

Brown Ground Beef
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
Drain any excess fat.

Season
Stir in salt, pepper, and thyme. Adjust seasonings to taste.

Layer in Baking Dish
Grease a baking dish.
Place half of the sliced potatoes in an even layer at the bottom.

Prepare Soup Mixture
In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.

Pour Soup Mixture

Bake

Remove foil, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
