Bourbon-Maple Brisket Grilled Cheese Wafflewich

Instructions

Slow Cook the Brisket
Place the brisket in a slow cooker and pour in the bourbon and maple syrup.
Cook on low for 8 hours, or until the brisket is fork-tender and easily shreds.

Shred the Brisket
Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and shred with two forks. Set aside.

Make the Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Heat a skillet over medium heat.

Butter one side of each slice of bread.

Place a slice of bread butter-side down in the skillet.

Layer with cheddar cheese, shredded brisket, and top with another slice of bread, butter side up.
