Beef Stir-Fry with Rice (Generic Asian Style)

Directions

1. Marinate the Beef

Toss the sliced beef with cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.

2. Cook the Beef

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for about 3 minutes, until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.

3. Cook the Vegetables

In the same pan, add broccoli, carrots, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 4 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

4. Combine & Add Sauce

Return the beef to the pan. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry everything together for 2–3 minutes, until well coated and heated through.

5. Serve

Spoon the beef and vegetables over cooked jasmine rice and serve hot.
