Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a bowl, mix the minced meat with the egg, chopped onions, garlic, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and fresh herbs.
- Place a large sheet of cling film on the work surface and place the bacon slices on it in a slightly overlapping layer, creating a sort of “bacon carpet.”
- Form the prepared minced meat into an oblong loaf on the bacon mat.
- Place the thin slices of ham and grated cheese in the center of the meatloaf.
