Sfogliatelle with custard and apples

INGREDIENTS

For the custard:

  • 500 ml of milk;
  • 3 egg yolks;
  • 40 g corn starch;
  • 80 g of sugar;
  • To taste vanilla or alternatively to taste grated lemon zest
  • 2 rolls of rectangular puff pastry;
  • 3 apples;
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar;
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon;
  • Icing sugar for dusting;
  • Milk for brushing.
