Step-by-Step Instructions:
Prepare the Pork Chops
Prepare for Slow Cooker: Ensure slow cooker pot is clean. If desired, line the slow cooker with a slow cooker liner for easier cleanup.
Arrange the Pork Chops: Rinse 4 pork chops under cold water, then dry them with paper towels. Place the pork chops in an even layer in the bottom of the slow cooker for even cooking.
Add the Cream of Chicken Soup
Add the Soup: Pour a can of cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom, if you like) over the pork chops.
Add Water Fill the empty soup can with water and pour it in the slow cooker. All that extra liquid will form a sauce and stop the pork chops from drying out.
Add the Ranch Dressing Mix
Add Ranch Mix: Evenly sprinkle a packet of ranch dressing mix over the soup-covered pork chops. You can use less of the mix, if you want a milder flavor.
Slow Cooking
Tip: To Prepare Pork Chops Cook the Pork Chops: Place the slow cooker on low, cover and cook the pork chops for about 6 hours. Don’t lift the lid during cooking, it lets the heat escape and could make the cooking time longer. The pork chops will be full of flavor and tender from the slow cooking method.
Serving
Remove and Serve: At 6 hours, check the pork chops to see if they are tender. Use tongs or a spatula to carefully remove the pork chops, as they can be very tender.
Serve: Serve the pork chops with mashed potatoes, rice or noodles to soak up the sauce, and perhaps broccoli or green beans on the side.
