12 Natural Homemade Cleaner Recipes
1. Floor Cleaner (Not for Hardwood Floors)
• 1 gallon warm water
• 1½ cups white vinegar
• 1 tsp natural dish soap (soapberries)
• A few drops of lemon essential oil
Instructions: Mix ingredients in a bucket. Dip a mop, wring out excess, and clean floors once or twice a week.
2. Mold/Mildew Cleaner
• Spray: 2 cups vinegar + 2 tsp tea tree oil (leave for 24 hours)
• Scrub Paste: ½ cup baking soda + ¼ cup rubbing alcohol + ½ tsp tea tree oil + ¼ cup water (scrub with a toothbrush, then wipe clean).
3. Multi-Purpose Cleaner
(Do not use on glass surfaces)
• ¾ cup water
• 1 tsp natural dish soap
• 1¼ cups rubbing alcohol
• A few drops of essential oil
Instructions: Mix, transfer to a spray bottle, and use on surfaces. Wipe with a damp cloth.
4. Sink Cleaner
• 2 cups baking soda
• 10 drops clove essential oil
• 10 drops lemon essential oil
• 1 tbsp castile soap
Instructions: Store in an airtight container. Sprinkle on the sink, scrub, and rinse.
5. Laundry Detergent
• 4 cups boiling filtered water
• 1 cup salt
• 1.5 cups baking soda
• 1 cup Sal Suds or castile soap
• 1 tsp lemon essential oil
• 16 cups filtered water
Instructions: Mix well, store, and use ¼ cup per load. Use vinegar as a fabric softener.
